Our Programs
Three programs. One mission. Endless possibility.

Workforce Development
Small Press Incubator Program
The Small Press Incubator Program is Fourth POV's flagship workforce development initiative, designed to transform young writers into published authors and creative entrepreneurs. Participants move through the full arc of the publishing process — from developing their manuscript and building their author platform to printing, distributing, and selling their work. SPIP bridges the gap between creative expression and economic opportunity, giving youth in underrepresented communities the tools to turn their stories into sustainable careers. Through hands-on workshops, mentorship, and real publishing projects, participants graduate with a published work, a professional portfolio, and a pathway to financial independence rooted in their own voice.
Mental Health & Creative Writing
Fourth Healing
Fourth Healing uses the power of creative writing as a tool for emotional processing, trauma recovery, and mental wellness. In safe, culturally responsive spaces, participants use journaling, poetry, and personal narrative to explore their inner lives, build emotional vocabulary, and develop healthy coping skills.
Fourth Healing recognizes that for many young people in underserved communities, writing is not just an academic skill — it is a lifeline. Facilitated by trained practitioners who understand the intersection of creativity and mental health, this program meets participants where they are and helps them move toward where they want to be.

Family Advocacy & Adult Literacy
Parent Literacy Power Initiative
The Parent Literacy Power Initiative is Fourth POV's commitment to the belief that children thrive when their caregivers are empowered. This program builds literacy skills, advocacy tools, and educational confidence in parents and guardians in underrepresented communities — equipping them to actively support their children's learning, navigate school systems, and champion literacy in their homes and neighborhoods.
Through workshops, resource access, and community-building, participating parents move from the margins of their children's education to the center of it. When parents have power, children have possibility.
